Mary Jean's Story

This will be a short sweet list I believe. I moved away long ago from New England. My life took me to the Midwest Far different than I had ever been accustomed to. However I made the best of it. I met many fine people there. Most of whom asked me to Park The Car, in Harvard yard! You wonder why? It was ungodly cold. even colder than Boston in January. Really!!!!! I had two children both beautiful girls. My husband at the time worked for a large company and we moved quite often due to his job. I continued my education where ever I could, In the early 70"s we made another long move to Florida. The northern part. It was beautiful. The weather was great and it was remarkably different form the North. The culture was vastly different as well. The old South is exactly that ..The South. I don't talk about the Civil War or who won or lost it. This is still a sore note, even after these many years. I worked for many years for a major jewelry store chain. I loved direct sales and moved up in the company. After about 8 years I decide to do something different. I wanted better hours for the most part. I began working for a large bank, whose home offices were out of Ohio. It is a huge financial giant,. I did well and moved up in the banking world as well. I...Expand for more
of course continued my education all along the way, always keeping up with courses and classes that would benefit me at the time and others I felt could have merit in the future. I had already had a degree in Fine Art and was looking to ,lets say ,modernize that fact. Graphic Design seemed like a wise choice for me I learned everything I could about illustration, animation advertising computer applications technical applications you name it ,I learned it. I decided to go into the field as a freelance I was my own person, headaches and all. I did well. I used all the talent i could muster up . I didn't think I was a risk taker..however I proved myself very wrong. I believe i fulfilled my goals;that is, to be a free and independent individual. It is what America is made of. We can do anything if we put our minds to it. So I believe this takes us up to the current time. I guess I could be called semi-retired. I do a few things here and there. I do not stress myself. At this time there is no reason. Life is good. My children are grown and have beautiful families. They have done very well on their own. I am a proud mother and grandmother. I remarried about 14 years ago, I have a wonderful and handsome second husband whom i adore. Who could ask for anything more!
